1. Resources
-
Internet connection and a smart device
-
A workbook with lined paper for English and squared paper for Maths. A pen, pencil and ruler are mandatory for every lesson.
-
Parents may be required, although rarely, to purchase additional resources to support online classes. This may include textbooks, equipment or teaching aids. Ample time will be provided for ordering items before they are required in class.
-
Item lists with suggested links will be uploaded on the Drive before the class. Do check the Drive a few days before every lesson.

2. Learning Environment
-
Lessons to take place in a quiet room away from distractions
-
Stable internet speed to access learning.
-
Audio and camera devices to be connected and working ahead of your first-class
-
Cameras are to be switched on during class (this is optional, but please ensure that you monitor your child during learning)
-
Students must mute themselves when requested by teachers
-
Only first names to be displayed on screens
-
If using phone devices, turn on “do not disturb” to avoid notifications.

3. Missing Class
-
If your child misses a class, there will be an expectation they will catch up using the video uploads.

4. Homework
Please ensure any homework provided is completed and allow up to 24 hours for homework to be uploaded onto your Drive. The homework might involve adult discussion, so do participate where possible. We do not mark homework.

5. Behaviour
-
We want to create a positive learning experience for students.
-
Consistent disruptive behaviour will result in removal from the lesson.
-
We are an inclusive environment and welcome SEN students.

6. Safeguarding & Quality Assurance
The safety of our students is of the utmost importance. We have systems in place to ensure quality remains consistent.
A. Google links
-
Each child has a unique login, so ensure that this is not shared with anyone else. Let us know if you would like your log-in changed, and allow up to a week for this.
B. Recording classes
-
We record all classes. This enables us to check footage if there are any raised concerns.
-
The recordings are uploaded onto the Drive, but allow up to 2 days for the recording to become available. Older recordings will be disabled after two weeks.
C. Monitoring by Parents
-
As with any activity involved with online devices, we expect children to be monitored by their parents.

7. Terms
-
By enrolling on our courses, you agree to these Terms and the expectations.
